Ministries

Social Ministry
King of Kings offers many opportunities to reach out into our community: by partnering with other Lutheran, Christian, and interfaith entities to meet local and global needs and by sharing our resources with those who are in need. These include supporting Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, Baby Steps Baby Pantry, the Souper Bowl of Caring and the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, among others. We also collect gifts for our neighbors; in 2025, we provided 55 Thanksgiving meals and presents for 31 children at Christmas and Easter. Our community holiday meal in concert with Temple Beth Jacob is held at the Newburgh Armory Unity Center every Christmas Day; all are welcome and we serve or deliver 500 meals to our neighbors who might otherwise be alone on the holiday.

Care for one another
Prayer Ministry
We receive requests for prayer via phone call, email or the Prayer Box outside the sanctuary, praying at services on Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday and encouraging members and friends to pray at home as well.

Hospitality
King of Kings hosts a Children’s Craft Table at the summer New Windsor Community Concerts (Wednesdays, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., June through August). Volunteers are needed to assist children with crafts, donate craft materials, and set up or clean up.

Small Groups
