Social Ministry
King of Kings offers many opportunities to reach out into our community: by partnering with other Lutheran, Christian, and interfaith entities to meet local and global needs and by sharing our resources with those who are in need. These include supporting Exodus, Newburgh Ministry, Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, the annual Breast Cancer Walk (Making Strides), Equal Exchange coffee and chocolate sales, and collecting gifts for neighbors at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.
Care for one another
Ministry of Care
A team of adults oversees care of members of King of Kings, calling, writing note cards, visiting, and providing transportation or companionship to our senior members.
Hospitality and Outreach
King of Kings reaches out by providing a Children’s Craft Table at the summer New Windsor Community Concerts (Wednesdays, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., June through August) and at New Windsor Community Day (in August). You can help by assisting children with crafts, donating craft materials, setting up or cleaning up.
